The Role

Transaera is scaling. We’ve validated our breakthrough HVAC technology with major pilot customers and are now expanding into broader commercial adoption. We’re hiring our first Account Executive to lead outbound sales, close new business, and help establish the foundation of our sales engine.

This role is for a true hunter and closer who understands the commercial HVAC ecosystem and thrives in early-stage environments where ownership, urgency, and results matter.

What You’ll Do

  • Drive new business by prospecting building owners, developers, engineers, and mechanical contractors

  • Build and manage a strong outbound pipeline through cold outreach, networking, industry events, referrals, and market research

  • Own the full sales cycle: discovery, technical coordination, proposal development, negotiation, and signed PO

  • Sell advanced HVAC units into commercial buildings, aligning system value with energy, performance, and cost goals

  • Collaborate with internal engineering and technical teams to deliver tailored solutions and accurate proposals

  • Help define and refine sales messaging, pricing strategy, and go-to-market motion as a founding sales team member

  • Manage and grow customer relationships post-sale to support long-term partnerships and repeat opportunities

  • Negotiate contracts and agreements that create strong outcomes for both the customer and Transaera

  • Maintain accurate pipeline visibility, activity tracking, and forecasting in CRM

  • Provide market feedback on competitors, customer needs, and industry trends to leadership

  • A hunter mindset, you are comfortable initiating conversations and creating a pipeline from scratch

  • Strong ability to navigate multi-stakeholder, technical B2B sales

  • Confidence discussing mechanical systems and HVAC applications with engineers and contractors

  • High ownership and self-direction in an environment without rigid structure

  • Resilience and persistence through longer, complex sales cycles

  • Clear, persuasive communication and strong negotiation skills

  • Comfort balancing new logo acquisition with building long-term customer relationships

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 5+ years of B2B closing experience

  • 2–5+ years of experience selling within commercial HVAC, mechanical systems, building systems, or adjacent technical industries

  • Proven track record of sourcing and closing new business (not solely inbound or account management)

  • Experience selling into commercial building stakeholders (owners, operators, engineers, contractors, developers, or facilities leaders)

  • Strong working knowledge of HVAC systems and mechanical equipment (does not need to be an engineer)

  • Demonstrated success meeting or exceeding revenue targets

  • Experience managing deals through technical evaluation and contract negotiation

  • Familiarity with CRM systems and structured pipeline management

  • Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, evolving startup environment

  • This role would require 70%-80% travel

Preferred but Not Required:

  • Experience at an early-stage or high-growth startup

  • Background selling energy efficiency, decarbonization, or climate-focused building technologies

  • Experience with DOAS, ventilation systems, or advanced air-side solutions

  • Existing relationships within the commercial real estate or mechanical contractor ecosystem

  • Experience selling service agreements, maintenance contracts, or performance-based solutions

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field

What to Expect

We value transparency. Here’s what you can expect during your application process and if you join our team:

  1. Interview Process:

-> First round: 30 Min call with the Chief of Staff
-> Second round: 30 min call with the CEO (Hiring Manager)
-> Third round: Presentation + (2) 30 min Team interviews

COMP: Base + Commission + Equity

OTE: $200- $250K
