Pearl Certification
About Pearl
Pearl is a mission-driven Certified B Corp building the first national home performance rating system and registry for U.S. homes - like a FICO score for homes. Our platform makes the invisible qualities of a home - its safety, comfort, resilience, and energy - visible, measurable, and financially valuable.
When Pearl succeeds, home performance data will sit at the center of how trillions of dollars move through the housing economy - powering smarter lending, fairer insurance, and higher resale value for efficient homes. Buyers will know what they’re getting. Owners will be rewarded for upgrading & transparency. And the market itself will help accelerate the clean-energy transition.
The opportunity is enormous: a multi-billion-dollar platform at the intersection of data, finance, real estate, and climate technology. Pearl is entering a period of accelerated product development, new partner integrations, and expansion of consumer-facing experiences.
About the role
The Principal Product Manager is a senior product operator who helps drive execution, clarity, and alignment across Pearl’s product initiatives. Reporting to the SVP Product, this role plays a critical hands-on leadership role in translating product strategy into coordinated delivery across teams and workstreams.
This role blends strategic thinking with operational execution. The Principal Product Manager helps hold together multiple parallel initiatives, strengthens product processes, and ensures teams stay aligned, unblocked, and focused on delivering meaningful outcomes.
While this is a senior leadership role, it is intentionally designed as a player-coach position. The Principal Product Manager is expected to operate as a highly experienced product manager when needed owning and organizing discovery, shaping requirements, and driving initiatives directly.
We are looking for a product leader who thrives in complexity, ambiguity, and momentum - someone energized by building category-defining products while helping teams execute across multiple fast-moving initiatives. We are especially interested in leaders who have built and scaled high-quality consumer-facing digital products and understand what it takes to deliver intuitive, high-trust user experiences at scale.
As Pearl expands its consumer-facing experiences and data platform capabilities, the Principal Product Manager will also act as an AI enabler across the organization. This includes identifying opportunities to embed AI into product experiences, workflows, internal operations, and decision-making. The ideal candidate brings modern AI fluency understanding how to responsibly leverage LLMs, automation, and data models to improve user experience, product velocity, and competitive differentiation.
This role has influence-based leadership across the product organization. Product, Design, and related team members formally report to the SVP Product, while the Principal Product Manager provides day-to-day operational leadership, coordination, and mentorship across initiatives.

- Experience working closely with engineering, data science, and design teams.
- Strong product discovery and customer insight skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder alignment capabilities.
- Comfortable operating with influence rather than formal authority.
- Experience operating in data-rich environments where probabilistic models or scoring systems inform user experiences.
- Fluency in modern AI capabilities (LLMs, automation tools, data-driven personalization) and demonstrated ability to apply them in product strategy or execution.
- Alignment with Pearl’s mission and values.
