Project Overview

LineVision is seeking a DevOps contractor to lead critical infrastructure work that is currently blocking multiple engineering teams. This is a focused, time-bound engagement to complete CI/CD implementation and infrastructure as code across our repositories and support our platform migration to ISO and SOC2 compliant infrastructure (Project Faraday). This work will unblock Computational Fluid Dynamics and Data Engineering teams who are waiting on this infrastructure foundation.

Project Objectives

CI/CD Pipeline Implementation

• Complete CI/CD pipeline implementation for priority repositories
• Establish standardized CI/CD patterns and documentation for remaining repos
• Roll out CI/CD infrastructure across all repositories

Platform Migration Enablement

• Build and deploy Faraday migration tooling to enable team self-service
• Support engineering teams through platform transitions
• Complete remaining Faraday migrations to new compliant infrastructure

Infrastructure Optimization & Handoff

• Refactor existing cloud infrastructure under proper IaC control
• Optimize and stabilize CI/CD infrastructure
• Document processes and patterns for long-term maintainability
• Ensure smooth handoff to permanent DevOps team

What You Need to Succeed

Required Experience:

• Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
• Demonstrated expertise with Infrastructure as Code tools (Pulumi and/or Terraform)
• Proficiency with AWS cloud services including Lambda, RDS, ECS, EC2, ELB, VPC, API Gateways, and CloudWatch
• Proven track record of infrastructure migrations and platform transitions
• Strong coding skills in Python, Go, or JavaScript
• Experience with Git and GitHub workflows

Additional Qualifications:

• Ability to work autonomously on competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Clear communication skills to coordinate with multiple engineering teams
• Experience with compliance requirements (ISO, SOC2) is a plus
• Familiarity with Agile processes

Duration: 6 months
Hours: 30-40 hours per week
Location: Remote
Start Date: Immediate
Hourly Rate: $100-130/hr
