Get hands-on quality engineering experience while keeping LineVision's IoT devices running at peak performance.

The successful Quality Engineering Co-op will maintain device health monitoring, track hardware quality metrics, and support ISO 9001 quality management system development. You'll work directly with our Quality Manager to ensure LineVision's sensor network delivers reliable data to utility customers while learning quality engineering practices in a high-growth technology company. What will you do?

Core Responsibilities and Key Performance Objectives

• Monitor daily device health across LineVision's sensor network, conducting uptime and visibility checks to identify and escalate issues requiring Engineering or Operations support
• Lead weekly device health syncs, creating Jira tickets for issues and coordinating site visit escalations when field interventions are needed
• Calculate hardware failure rates and build Tableau dashboards to track quality metrics, enabling data-driven decisions on device reliability improvements
• Collaborate with Hardware Engineering and Operations teams to investigate device issues and implement corrective actions
• Support ISO 9001 quality management system (QMS) development by documenting processes, gathering audit evidence, and maintaining QMS records

What do you need to succeed in this role?

• Strong analytical skills with experience using Excel for data analysis, tracking metrics, and identifying trends in datasets
• Technical aptitude with exposure to networking concepts, SQL queries, Linux command line, or Python scripting through coursework or projects
• Excellent attention to detail when monitoring systems, investigating issues, and documenting findings for technical and non-technical audiences
• Project management abilities to track multiple device issues simultaneously, prioritize escalations, and drive resolution with cross-functional teams
• Initiative and curiosity to dig into problems, ask clarifying questions, and propose improvements to quality monitoring processes
• Experience with Tableau or similar business intelligence tools for building dashboards is a plus but not required

Work Schedule

The ideal candidate would be available for a minimum of 6 months, up to the full 8 month co-op term, working 40 hours a week. LineVision has a standard US holiday schedule, and up to a week of additional unpaid time off is permissible. Upon successful internship or co-op completion, you will be considered for a full-time position upon graduation.

Compensation: $22 per hour
