Job Description
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Engineering student to join our team as a Junior Mechanical Engineering Intern. You will be responsible for creating, editing, and maintaining engineering documentation, supporting the engineering team in CAD design projects, and supporting the implementation of an engineering data management system.
**This is a hybrid position which requires 3 days/week in our Philadelphia, PA office
Core Functions/Duties
- Work closely with the engineering team to audit, modify, and update design data to comply with company data standards.
- Create technical documentation including solid models, drawings, bills of material, test procedures.
- Assist with the building and testing of physical prototypes.
- Participate in design reviews and provide input on design concepts and prototypes.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality control, and purchasing, to ensure project timelines and objectives are met
- Perform other duties as assigned by the engineering team.
Compensation range for this role is $20/hr

WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Education
College Student currently majoring in Engineering
Required Experience
- Solidworks or other 3D CAD platform(s).
- Excel or similar spreadsheet software.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation.
- Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of mechanical design principles, documentation requirements and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative to complete tasks.
