Job Title: Marketing Manager
Job Type: Full-time permanent
Department: Marketing
Location: Calgary, AB
The Marketing Manager will play a crucial role in advancing the company's marketing efforts, supporting project pipelines and enhancing overall brand image. This position involves developing and managing a small but cohesive team and strategizing marketing plans to drive growth. The Marketing Manager will report to the COO.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to drive brand awareness, market positioning, and customer acquisition within target industries (Contech & CleanTech)
- Utilize the latest methodologies and tools to guide and support the marketing team, fostering technical expertise
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (business development, research and development, engineering) to ensure effective communication and alignment of marketing initiatives
- Work with the leadership team to refine the company's brand identity, value proposition, and messaging to align with business objectives
- Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns across various channels (digital, content, email, social media, events), leveraging data-driven insights and staying up to date on the latest trends
- Create compelling marketing collateral (videos, brochures, presentations, etc.), website content, thought leadership materials, case studies, and other sales enablement tools
- Build and maintain relationships with external vendors and partners to enhance the company's reach and brand credibility
- Perform market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, understand customer needs and satisfaction, and uncover opportunities, integrating these insights into marketing approaches
- Provide teams dealing with external stakeholders with necessary tools, training, and materials, including slide decks, product documentation, and product briefs
- Manage and successfully execute timelines and budgets for new initiatives and product launches
- Establish and monitor marketing KPIs and performance metrics, providing regular reports and actionable insights to the leadership team
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies that drive brand growth and generate qualified leads
- At least 5 years of experience in growth marketing, with a preference for candidates who have worked in startups through to late growth stage companies
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a small marketing team and drive high performance in accordance with business objectives
- Experience in developing and executing integrated campaigns across digital and traditional channels, leveraging marketing automation tools and CRM systems (HubSpot or other)
- Preference for those who have worked in target industries (cement, concrete, carbon capture, CleanTech, and ConTech) and understand their unique marketing dynamics, customer pain points, and regulatory landscape; however, this is not a requirement
- Ability to convey complex technical topics in clear, compelling ways to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Intellectual curiosity and ability to quickly grasp complex scientific subjects
- Strategic mindset with the ability to analyze market trends, customer insights, and competitive intelligence to inform marketing strategies
