We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Test Technologist to support our engineering and chemistry teams. In this role, you will play a key part in designing, setting up, executing, and analyzing experiments that drive the development of our technology.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stack engineers and chemists to plan and design experiments to validate performance, reliability, and durability
  • Set up and configure test stations, including instrumentation, controls, and data acquisition systems
  • Safely operate and monitor test equipment to execute experimental programs
  • Troubleshoot test setups and continuously improve testing methods and reliability
  • Ensure proper documentation of test procedures, configurations, and results
  • Collect, process, and analyze experimental data using appropriate tools and techniques
  • Generate clear, concise technical reports and summaries for internal stakeholders
  • Maintain test equipment, lab spaces, and inventory of components and consumables
  • Support development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and testing best practices

Your Skills and Experience:

  • Diploma, technologist certification, or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field
  • 2–5+ years of experience in a laboratory, testing, or R&D environment (electrochemical or energy systems experience is an asset)
  • Experience with instrumentation, sensors, and data acquisition systems
  • Familiarity with electrochemical systems, fluid systems, or test rigs is a strong asset
  • Strong hands-on troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Experience analyzing data using tools such as Excel, Python, MATLAB, or similar
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data quality and safety
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly present findings
  • Ability to manage multiple test activities and adapt to changing priorities
